JAKARTA, 26 June 2025 — PT PLN (Persero) presented an educational and interactive experience at the Fan Village area of the 2025 Sarinah Jakarta E-Prix Formula E, as part of its commitment to introducing the energy transition of the future to the wider public. PLN’s interactive booth became one of the main attractions in the public area of this international electric car racing event, held at the Jakarta International E-Prix Circuit (JIEC), Ancol.
PLN not only ensured reliable electricity supply during the race but also invited the public to get closer to innovations in future energy. At this booth, visitors could learn more about renewable energy, electric vehicles, and PLN’s various initiatives to promote clean energy use and national energy efficiency.

“Formula E is not just an electric car race, but a global platform that drives the transition towards sustainable energy. Through this interactive booth, we want to show that the energy of the future is already here among us. The public can experience how clean energy becomes part of everyday life, including supporting world-class sportainment events like the Jakarta E-Prix,” said Gregorius Adi Trianto, Executive Vice President of Corporate Communication and TJSL PT PLN (Persero).
The PLN booth at Fan Village featured various activities, from education about Renewable Energy Certificates (REC), electric vehicle charging demonstrations, to games and interactive photo spots with a clean energy theme. The booth is part of PLN’s efforts to raise public awareness about the importance of using environmentally friendly energy for a greener, healthier, and more sustainable future.

In addition to providing an interactive experience, PLN also offered a special promotion at the booth: a 50% discount for electricity capacity upgrades for customers of PLN’s Jakarta Raya Distribution Unit (UID Jakarta Raya) in celebration of Jakarta’s 498th anniversary.
“We want this Formula E moment to not only be entertainment and education but also an opportunity for the public to enjoy more reliable and efficient electricity services. Through the Gebyar 498 DKI Jakarta promotion, we hope customers can benefit from easier and greater access to electricity,” added Moch. Andy Adchaminoerdin, General Manager of PLN UID Jakarta Raya.
Beyond its role as the main electricity supplier for all circuit operations, PLN also provided six electric vehicle charging points around the circuit area, further strengthening Indonesia’s electric vehicle ecosystem.
PLN remains committed to supporting Jakarta’s vision as a global city that is innovative, inclusive, and environmentally friendly, while being part of Indonesia’s journey toward a clean energy future.
