After hosting two spectacular races in 2022 and 2023, this eco-friendly electric race returns, with the Jakarta International E-Prix Circuit in Ancol once again in becoming the stage for all the action. This will also be the first time fans in Jakarta will witness the brand-new GEN3 Evo race car in action. The GEN3 Evo is capable of accelerating from 0 to 60 mph in just 1.82 seconds — 36% faster than the current GEN3, and 30% faster than today’s Formula 1 cars.

Back in 2023, thousands of fans cheered as 22 drivers went head-to-head at speeds exceeding 140 mph or 240 km/h. During that event, the current Formula E champion, Pascal Wehrlein from the TAG Heuer Porsche Formula E Team, secured his fourth Formula E victory.

Beyond the on-track excitement, spectators can also enjoy a full day of off-track entertainment for the whole family. The Fan Village, Formula E’s immersive festival at the heart of every E-Prix, will return, featuring live music performances, a gaming arena, and autograph opportunities with the drivers.

Alberto Longo, Co-Founder and Chief Championship Officer of Formula E, said, “We are thrilled to return to Jakarta, a city that has embraced Formula E with passion since Season 8. Our races in 2023 delivered fantastic action, and our Indonesian fans are among the best in the world. Jakarta is a beloved destination on our calendar, and we are excited to bring the excitement of electric racing back to this vibrant city.”

Pascal Wehrlein, driver for TAG Heuer Porsche Formula E Team and winner of the 2023 Jakarta E-Prix, said, “I’m really excited to return to Jakarta, especially after my win in Season 9. The atmosphere here is incredible, and the fans bring so much energy to the race. Winning in 2023 was a major milestone for me and the team, and I can’t wait to build on that success. The track always offers unique challenges, and I’m looking forward to another thrilling weekend in Jakarta.”

Deni Rifky Purwana, Project Director of Jakarta E-Prix 2025, stated that tickets for the 2025 Jakarta E-Prix are available in various pricing options designed to reach a wide range of audiences. “We aim to bring sportainment that are inclusive and accessible to more people. The Jakarta E-Prix 2025 should be a source of pride not just for Jakarta, but for all of Indonesia. We have many exciting surprises in store, including performances by Juicy Luicy and Tipe-X, exhibitions, and side events throughout the race week.”

As the only Southeast Asian city hosting Formula E, Jakarta reinforces its role in promoting clean energy transition, technological innovation, and sustainable transport development. The event also serves as an important milestone in the lead-up to Jakarta’s 500th anniversary in 2027, supporting its vision to become one of the Top 20 Global Cities.

With full support from the Provincial Government of DKI Jakarta and strong collaboration among Jakpro, IMI, Formula E Operations (FEO), and other key stakeholders, the 2025 Jakarta E-Prix is projected to be Southeast Asia’s largest electric motorsport event, marking an important step in Jakarta’s journey to becoming a world-class global city.
