Kreta Bali Smita represents a groundbreaking innovation initiated by KBS in collaboration with TÜV Rheinland Indonesia and TransTRACK. It is designed to establish special standards for Bali’s tourism transportation and its drivers, in an effort to the realization of quality and sustainable tourism in Bali. This consortium signifies a tangible step towards supporting the creation of innovative and high-quality tourism activities in Indonesia,  particularly in Bali. In accordance with Bali Governor Regulation number 28 of 2020 concerning Bali Tourism Governance (Article 16), tourism transportation services are mandated to professionally cater to tourists, from their arrival at tourism facilities to their departure from Bali. One concrete action towards achieving this is the establishment of standards for all stakeholders in tourism transportation, which will serve as benchmarks for both providers and users of tourism transportation services, ensuring continuous improvement in service quality.   The Kreta Bali Smita labeling system is designed to elevate standards in tourism transport services, with a primary emphasis on ensuring tourist safety and the quality of transportation services. This initiative aims to advance Indonesia’s tourism industry and enhance the experience of tourism transport service users in Bali. Tjokorda Bagus Pemayun, Head of Bali Tourism Department said, “We are proud and excited to support the launch of the Kreta Bali Smita labeling system. This initiative marks a significant milestone in the advancement of Indonesia’s tourism industry, particularly in Bali Province. In an era where the safety and comfort of tourists are top priorities, this labeling system sets new standards in tourism transport services. We extend our gratitude to all parties involved in this initiative and are confident that this collaboration will greatly benefit Indonesia’s tourism industry.” I Gede Wayan Samsi Gunarta, Head of Bali Provincial Transportation Agency added, “We view the Kreta Bali Smita labeling system as a vital step in improving safety and service in the tourism transport sector, especially in Bali. This collaboration reflects our commitment to enhancing tourism transportation infrastructure and providing the best experience for tourists in Bali.” Each member company in this consortium plays a distinct role in the Kreta Bali Smita initiative program. KBS, as a Regional Public Company of Bali Province, was established to create a transparent, accountable, and professionally managed tourism organization based on information technology. KBS is committed to synergizing and collaborating with all Bali tourism stakeholders to create safer, more comfortable, and higher-value tourism transportation in Bali. TÜV Rheinland Indonesia, a subsidiary of TÜV Rheinland AG, a global leader in Testing, Inspection, Certification, Consultation, and Training, founded in 1872 and based in Cologne, Germany, serves as the testing service provider for the program. TransTRACK, as a technology enabler, offers solutions related to digital tourism development with its Fleet Management System (FMS). DPD Organda Bali is responsible for regulating and empowering public transportation. “We are proud to be part of the consortium that developed the Kreta Bali Smita labeling system. This system underscores our commitment to digitalize and enhance the efficiency of vehicle fleet operations, especially in the tourism transport sector. Our FMS solutions monitor the location and travel of each tourism vehicle, driver behavior, and fuel usage, ensuring passenger safety and comfort, as well as vehicle operational efficiency,” said Anggia Meisesari, Founder and CEO of TransTRACK. Aligned with the regulations of the Bali Transportation Department for tourism vehicles, TransTRACK has implemented a Safety Management System (SMK), particularly focusing on its flagship safety features. The SMK implementation begins with the labeling system for public transport in Bali, contributing to the improvement of both driver and passenger safety. In addition, the advanced TransTRACK technology features a global SIM card, mitigating blank spots (areas of cellular signal loss), thus ensuring comprehensive travel records. Furthermore, the TransTRACK fuel sensor integrates artificial intelligence (AI), elevating fuel monitoring accuracy to an impressive 98%, surpassing the capabilities of fuel sensors commonly found in GPS systems on the market. TransTRACK’s full integration with the Ministry of Transportation of the Republic of Indonesia’s system supports the seamless issuance of route permits for passenger transportation. This collaborative effort underscores TransTRACK’s ongoing commitment to enhancing the quality and safety of public transportation services for passengers. This commitment aligns seamlessly with government initiatives, particularly those of the Bali Provincial Transportation Agency and the Bali Tourism Department.
